About the Author

Fintan Ruth was born in Southern Ireland in 1947. Reared without a mother, religion was never a big part of his life and he would say that he was an atheist all his life.

Seeing the religious war in Northern Ireland had a profound effect on him. He studied religion, science and psychology trying to make sense of things.       
Looking at thousands of different religious beliefs, he wondered how he could find the correct one. He decided the only way was to go back to the foundation of most of these beliefs, the books written by Moses three and a half thousand years ago. What he found there shocked him.
